NCP president Sharad Pawar has said that a third front is not possible without the Congress. Pawar’s response comes amid efforts by opposition parties to form a united front against the BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections.
‘A third front is not possible without the Congress. The Congress is still the second largest party in the country. So it is important to take the Congress along, ”Pawar said.
Pawar said it was not possible to form a front against the BJP without the Congress. Some opposition leaders, including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, have called for unity in the opposition in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Opposition parties are exploring the possibility of forming a Third Front. Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had met Pawar and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray as part of efforts to unite the opposition. Meanwhile, the Congress is skeptical of Chandrasekhar Rao’s move.
