Thiruvananthapuram | Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking immediate intervention in the hike in air fares. In the letter, the Chief Minister pointed out that air fares are a big liability for expatriates.
The Chief Minister said that this was a major setback in the tourism sector of Kerala and pointed out the rates charged by companies before and after Kovid.
Airlines had increased ticket prices from the Gulf to Kerala by five times during the festive season. It is in this context that the Chief Minister sought the intervention of the Prime Minister in the matter.
