In the evenings, talking on the riverbank or on the beach with friends, sharing classmates’ lunch at school and college, cooking a favorite dish for the family and children, and enjoying a variety of vibes all together are just as enjoyable moments to remember and enjoy.
Food is also an important ingredient that contributes to the happiness of the trip and the get-together. Thus the food we eat is one that is inextricably linked to human beings as a complement to happiness and an integral part of sustaining life.
Perhaps because eating is one of the most important desires of human beings, Allah is mainly referring to eating and drinking when describing heavenly pleasures.
“Surely those who guard (against evil), fearing Allah, are in the heavens, in the shadows and in the springs and in the fruits they desire. They will be told, “Eat and drink with joy as a result of your deeds.” (Surat al-Mursalat)
Any food should be eaten only as permitted. We can eat anything that suits us and does not harm our body and mind. It is essential to be a little more careful with the food as it affects the body nutrition and health. Do not inject anything we do not deserve. When eating together, one should not take away the rights of others.
Take one at a time while eating in groups from a bowl. The command of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) not to eat two together without the consent of the companions is extremely careful. This is so as not to consume the shares of others.
Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): O Prophet! The Prophet replied: “Eat good food.” But prayer can be answered.
Nothing will be accepted for 40 days from someone who eats a pellet illegally. Hell is best suited for a person with flesh who has grown through illicit savings and usury. ‘ (Hadith)
Earn the spotless. Serve well at home and at dinner. Avoid what is not permissible and what is not worthy. We too can experience heavenly food and drink.
