Cyclone in the Arabian Sea; Rains continue, yellow alert in five districts 2022

Isolated showers are likely in various parts of the state today. Yellow alert declared in five districts. The cyclone entered the southeastern Arabian Sea, causing widespread rainfall. The rain is likely to continue in the coming days.

The rains of the last few days have caused damage in many areas. 1.07 crore crop damage in Thiruvananthapuram. The rain is likely to weaken by Saturday.

Fishing is also banned off the coasts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep due to the possibility of bad weather and strong winds. People living in low-lying areas, hilly areas prone to landslides and riverbanks are also advised to be cautious.
